Reality

“Reality is that which doesn’t go away when you stop believing in it.” – Philip K. Dick, I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon

reality

The sum or aggregate of all that is real or existent within a system, as opposed to that which is only imaginary. – inspired from Wikipedia

Monotheistic religions basically personify reality by calling it God and by starting to talk with it.

God

The hypothetical unique being assumed by monotheistic religions as the creator of the world.

The Hebrew people were probably the first in history who cultivated a monotheistic religion. They invented the approach of personifying reality, the idea that there is one and only one God, and that this God communicates with them and helps (“blesses”) them when they obey to the divine laws. These laws had been carved into stone by Moses who received them directly from God. God also sent prophets who explained these laws more in detail. But something was missing. Until Jesus came.
