The opening mass

The Estonian synodal core team appointed by the Bishop to help me with my official report to be submitted to the Vatican in August 2022.

During the opening mass of the Synod in Tallinn, the Bishop blessed the sinoditiim and publicly confirmed to the faithful that he sends us and trusts us to do this work. Here is a photo:

During this ceremony each of us received a crucifix and a candle as a “sign of the Synod”. After the mass one person told me: “Luc, the crucifix you received is a prophecy: you are going to be crucified!” She added with a smile: “But don’t fear.”
