A picture of the Church that is obsolete by 500 years

In a private dialogue I asked a history teacher whether he agrees with the statement “Most schools in Estonia teach to our future generations a picture of the Church that is obsolete by about 500 years.”

His answer: Jah, Sul on täitsa ōigus! Eestis on veel see, et meil on katoliku kirikust juttu kuni reformatsioonini – 7. ja 10. klassi ajaloos. Pärast ei ole mitte midagi. Natuke on 12. klassi ajaloos juttu Johannes Paulus II-st, seoses Ida-Euroopa vabanemisega.
