I voted for the 2024 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. I don’t know any of the candidates personally, so my vote based on my intuitive feeling, which is based on their introduction texts.

  • Tesleemah from Nigeria. I will be bringing my energetic vibe to the board which is very contagious, of course!.

  • Bobby from South Africa. The Wikimedia movement operates in a rapidly changing environment

  • Victoria from UK. Russian native. We crucially need trustees with experience.

  • Lorenzo from Italy. The realization of our global nature.

  • Farah from Palestine/UK. Languages: ar-N, en-N, fr-2, es-2, he-2, nl-1. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration, which gives me insight into the business world, a skill beneficial to being on a nonprofit’s board.

  • Rosie from United States. I think about the far future of our Wikimedia movement… 10-100 years from now.

  • Lane from United States. Investment in community.

  • Christel from Germany. The main priority should be attracting more contributors from places around the world or niches in society that we have not reached so far.

  • Maciej from Poland. Well-funded local organizations (affiliates/hubs) should lead the programmatic activities and use their local expertise to support users.

  • Erik from United States. I recognize that I come from a position of privilege as a white male who grew up speaking English.

  • Mohammed Alhassan from Ghana. Ensure Equity in Decision Making in the movement activities and invest more in supporting the indegenous and the underreprented groups

  • Deon Deon from South Africa.
